The full WRS, is one of Weir's greatest achievements . This kind of gentle pastoral beauty slowly leaves him ( and the band ) by the 80's . He starts writing in a more "urban" feel .And his guitar tone becomes increasingly more jagged,"grey, steel" in feel . I like "Stranger", and "Victim", but when you listen to the WRS part one, you can't help wish they could have still pulled that off later .

I hear you. If you ever get the opportunity, check out the acoustic demo of WRS that he did. It was commercially released as a bonus track on the re-release of Wake Of The Flood. Really nice stuff.
